Based on the test using the same car (2010 Chevy Malibu) to hit every trailer I can only assume this is a test of the various trailers. The one thing I took out of this is don't ever rear end a semi trailer. It is pretty horrific watching the dummies head get smashed by the trailer deck.
To make this post complete I clearly have to post some Crash Test Dummies in honor of all the dummies that have been sacrificed to make things safer for us.

Well, before I saw these, I went and tried to rear-end every semi I saw. Now I think twice. I guess that's why their name ends in Safety.

And Jayne's daughter was in the back seat and survived rear ending the semi.

Still, impressive that just small modifications to the bar makes such a huge difference. Engineering FTW
